How Do We Do It?

Wang Films has a growing reputation for backing the winners. Investing in film is fun, for everyone involved, so we put together a pool of investors, we don't just go to one large venture partners.

Then, using the film finance trust fund we have thus established, we distribute money into the projects that are most likely to make a high ROI. This ROI can be up to two times the initial investment over a period of 1 to 2 years.

We further take an active role by coming on board as a co-producer in these films, that way we keep the ROI highly in mind by being on the ground and helping to the projects to secure distribution internationally.

Our aim is to finance or co-produce a minimum of five films per year in Japan which means that the risk is spread across the top films, thus you can expect a solid return even if only one of these five films does well at the box office.

We deal exclusively with the distributors of film in Asia. This means that films already have approval to go ahead, the A list stars have been cast and the winners have already been picked.
